**Lidija Janevska **brings her Balkan Lira Show to Shotkickers on Saturday 6th December, accompanied by The **Vivid Sisters Dancers**. They are joined by very special guests **Queen of Hearts.** **Lidija Janevska** is an artist who lives in Melbourne, Australia and was born in Skopje, Macedonia, into a musical family. Lidija’s artistic background spans from being a vocalist/singer to being painter/sculptor, as well as being a journalist at MRT, Skopje. As singer, she has been representing the Macedonian and Balkan music/genre since 1994, and has participated in numerous cultural events and festivals, as part of the cultural and artistic society. Through song, she has touched the soul and brings nostalgia to those who have left their homeland. In 2000, Lidija enriched her repertoire with a new album, which was very well received by the audience, but in 2002, due to personal reasons, she retired from the stage to devote herself to her family. Lidija returned to live performance in 2022 with a new glow to her artistic being and forms the project “Lira Show” which currently includes two new songs in the repertoire which continues to grow. The style is modern, refined, unique. The audience will have the opportunity to enjoy this new music of Lidija and “Lira Show” through radio programs, festivals and acoustic performances. With a mission to empower women in music, **Queen of Hearts **is making waves across Australia. Recently featured in Rolling Stone AU/NZ, the band is redefining tradition with a fresh, genre-blending sound. Featuring a cross-cultural all-female line-up, they’re pioneering the fusion of the Mexican Mariachi tradition with a unique contemporary twist of folk, blues, pop, and Latin styles — performing both original music and traditional classics in Spanish and English. These fiercely talented musicians from Latin America and Australia never fail to captivate audiences with their four-part vocal harmonies and intricate arrangements. After touring extensively across Australia and performing at countless festivals and venues, the band is now launching their second studio album, Divina — a powerful collection of original songs written by Bonnie Smith, Rose Kavanagh, and Elizabeth Obando. These songs are inspired by real-life experiences and the everyday stories that connect them as women — a reflection of friendship, resilience, and the deep sisterhood that unites the band.
