Kurt Rainbow

Around 10 years in the making, it’s time 3 Base Hit launch their anticipated debut Album.
To celebrate we are putting on a show with Melbourne heavy hitters of the instrumental music scene Kurt Rainbow and G\_Tano.
December 20 at Shotkickers is gonna be a party.
Kurt Rainbow
With echoes of late ‘70s jazz fusion and funk, Kurt Rainbow delivers a high-energy, retro-futuristic wonderland. “This is like music from 2026,” said Kurt's mother. Rainbow, however, prefers to call it ‘not-quite-funk.
3 Base Hit
Whatever we play, it has to hit hard- tough, tight and locked into powerful groove. 3 Base Hit are about bringing excitement and adventure to live music with huge riffs and improvised cliff hangers. 3 Base Hit will take you for a wild ride into the darker side of the jazz idiom. Drawing on experience from a lifetime of various musical projects, 3 Base Hit come together with intention and drive to push their sound into a new frontier. The self titled debut album is a bold first statement, captured live at Echidna Studio in Christmas hills and filmed by Joe Victory.
G\_Tano
G\_Tano is a multicultural collective from Naarm/Melbourne, blending old-school funk, acid jazz, Mediterranean grooves, and Hendrix-inspired psychedelia into a borderless sound rooted in groove. Formed in 2022, the band unites musicians from Italy, South Korea, Panama, Indonesia, and Australia, making cultural exchange central to their identity. Their acclaimed debut album Read the Room (Vasto Records, 2025) cements them as one of Melbourne’s most exciting live acts, uniting communities through groove and improvisation.
