BRACE (NSW)

Featuring members of Henry’s Anger and Nazxul, Brace formed in Sydney 2002 and immediately released their acclaimed debut EP, Before You Begin. Heavy touring with Deftones, Sparta, Cog, Shihad and Sunk Loto followed, alongside their own headline dates. Now, after disbanding in 2005, Brace have returned to the stage off the back of singles “Break The Sun”, “Anchor” and “White Line”, and are hitting Shotkickers for their first Melbourne show in 20 years! Brace will be joined by Melbourne outfit Baby Raptor, who will be making their live debut. Fusing electronic pop textures with heavy riffs to explore loss, control, and rebuilding after damage, their songs live in the aftermath, where love distorts reality and healing begins to surface. Rounding out the bill are acclaimed Melbourne heavy rockers The Mess, a sludge, doom, punk and psychedelic act that draws influence from, and comparisons with, bands like Melvins, Acid Bath, Swans, Peep Tempel and the local ’90s scene.
